Maud the Moth is the solo project of Spanish-born and Scotland-based pianist, singer and songwriter Amaya López-Carromero. Amaya weaves sonic tapestries riddled with distorted or effected pianos and driven by an enigmatic and deeply moving voice.
The image shows two veiled figures, one holding a veil, as the other expels a black void from her hooded cloak, where here face would be. The text reads "Échalo todo tía", which one could translate to "Get it all out, girl."
An obscure, medieval rendering of sisterhood and friendship, helping each other to rid themselves of the black void within, or just being there for each other, after a long night out.
