Commissioned merch design for German Metalcore legends HEAVEN SHALL BURN.
This artwork was made in reference to their song "The Sorrows Of Victory", which stems from their Album
"Of truth and sacrifice".
The song tells of the sacking of Jerusalem during the first crusade in the 11th century. A towering crusader is standing aloft the burning city walls of what is meant to symbolise the holy city. Imagery symbolising the perpetual maelstrom of religious fanaticism and war.
Accompanying the main design is a sigil, remenascant of the "Jerusalem Cross" the coat of Arms of the Crusader-occupied city. However it contains the letters HSB (Heaven Shall Burn) as well as an inverted cross.
